The obverse: in the center - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE RUBLES), at the bottom -the year of issue "2002", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trademark.
The reverse: to the left - a profile portrait of Alexander I, lower - the facsimile signature of the Emperor, to the right - the Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire, lower - the inscription in 12 lines: "МАНИФЕСТЬ "ОБЪ УЧРЕЖДЕНИИ МИНИСТЕРСТВЪ". ...СIИ СУТЬ СЛЪДУЮЩIЯ: 1. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finances of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation are successors of the Ministries founded according to the Manifesto of Alexander I.
